Not For Radio, Complex brings back Verzuz, and Gen Z leads Japan's streaming boom

Following the announcement of her solo project earlier this summer, the Marías singer María Zardoya has shared details of her forthcoming album, Melt. It marks the first release as Not for Radio, something Zardoya described as her “alternate reality.” Melt has 10 songs and will be released on Oct. 10 via Atlantic Records, with vinyl preorders available now. So far, no tracks from Melt have been released, but Zardoya has posted three messages explaining the inspiration behind the album while teasing songs from the tracklist.

“My intention with this project was to make music for the love of experimenting, far from home, fully in the moment, open to whatever stream of consciousness unfolded around us,” Zardoya explains. “That’s exactly what we did in the snowy woods, tucked away, as ice melted beneath our feet and as we melted into the songs. What grew from the melted ice is this album.” -Alternative Press
