This past May, Scottish musician Katie Lynch, who releases music as Theo Bleak, released her EP Bad Luck Is Two Yellow Flowers. Today, she's announced that she has a larger project that will be released just before the end of the year. Out Dec. 19, Bargaining muses on connection and explores moving through grief via the journals of her late uncle. The first single, which is out today, is called "Megan In New York."

Lynch read and annotated the journals of her late great uncle John who passed away in the early 2000s. The diaries date back to 1966. In a press release, Lynch explained that "although John died in the early 2000s, I could feel the friendship as though the veil was thin between the living and the dead. My best friend.” -Stereogum
