ATC has acquired a 55% stake in Raw Power in a deal worth approximately $1.8 million. Raw Power is home to acts including Bring Me The Horizon, Boston Manor, and the Mars Volta.
The US House of Representatives has passed a bill requiring ticket sellers for major music and sporting events to display all-in pricing and prohibit speculative ticketing. Dubbed the Transparency in Charges for Key Events Ticketing (TICKET) Act, passed by a vote of 388-24.
Live Music Society, a US-based nonprofit foundation, has announced its latest round of grants supporting small venues. The 2024 ‘Music in Action’ grant program, which is exclusive to venues with a capacity of under 300, will see $710k divided among 24 venues across the United States.
A new report on nightlife shows that the UK is losing an average of five clubs per week. The first three months of 2024 alone saw the closure of 67 clubs.
