Proun, the industry’s data overload problem, and how modern horror became a proving ground for experimental sound

The indie rock band is back today with another arresting track that leans into a sweeping, emo-folk sound, and it's called "Coloring Pages."
“This song stems from an instrumental demo [bassist] Dante [Zatto] sent me which outlined what became the drum, bass, and guitar parts. The instrumental felt like a departure from many of our other songs, embracing a more direct interaction between guitar and bass with more angular drums. I used this original demo as a canvas to write about coming out as trans to my mom and the feelings from that day. Parts feel like word vomit surrounded by memories of being a young child free from a gendered existence.” -Stereogum
