Kelsey Lu, the push to pitch creator tv, SXSW, and a new study shows Black music is responsible for 80% of UK music revenue

Kelsey Lu is back with their long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Blood. So Help Me God, their debut for Dirty Hit, arrives June 12. Co-produced by Lu with Jack Antonoff and Yves Rothman, the album features Kim Gordon, Sampha, Kamasi Washington, and Lady Jess. Leading the LP is “Running to Pain,” a newly theatrical spin on the cellist/composer/singer’s hybridist chamber-pop, complete with a Savanah Leaf-directed video starring Titane actor Garance Marillier.
Lu said in a press release, “So Help Me God was built slowly and intentionally across seven years of transformation. Sonically and emotionally it holds so many different worlds at once—devotion and desire, collapse and becoming—trying to make sense of what it means to break, to believe, to long for something without seeing it clearly, and to be reborn again and again and again.” -Pitchfork
