This year has brought a change of pace – self-producing, there’s an increasing sense of surreal imagery permeating his work, in addition to heightened world-building. Out now, ‘Baby Steps’ merges hip-hop aspects in the production with some more classic songwriting tropes, with Quadeca’s voice leaning on that dulcet acoustic guitar. Backed by an entrancing visual, it’s a magnetic progressive move from the genre-crossing figure. -Clash
