This past weekend, Rick Rubin quietly organized a music event in a medieval village in the Tuscan countryside where he recently purchased a large farm. Billed as a celebration of the summer solstice, the festival featured a Nick Cave film screening, a tech talk by Jack Dorsey, and performances from James Blake, Win Butler and more. While only 150 invited guests were able to access the church that held most of the festivities, the town’s main stage was open to the public without charge.
