In a deal that will cover Instagram and Facebook, Meta has renewed its strategic partnership with Merlin. The digital music licensing representative claims to rep 15% of the recorded music market- including prominent independent companies like Because, Downtown, and Reservoir. 

Set to kick off today, legendary metal band Metallica will be the “icon” for Fortnite Festival Season 4. In addition to exclusive rewards and band-themed features, fans will be treated to a Metallica music experience on June 22nd and 23rd- complete with six half-hour shows. 

Pop superstar Ariana Grande is set to be the latest artist to join superfan platform Weverse. The HYBE-owned global platform provides a centralized hub for an artist’s content like music videos, live streams, and a merch platform named Weverse Shop. Per Weverse, 90% of the 120 artists on their platform are signed to labels other than HYBE.
