Ten years and 104 shows later, Billy Joel closed out his historic monthly residency at MSG last Thursday. Joel had promised to keep the show running as long as there was demand but when “the demand never stopped,” they decided to select his 150th overall gig at the venue as his final edition of the run. In total, the residency grossed over $260 million as Joel played to almost two million attendees.
