John Andrews & The Yawns — good band name. It's accurate too, but not in a bad way. Andrews, a member of Cut Worms and Widowspeak, sounds casually drowsy on "Something To Be Said," the opening track from his newly announced album
Streetsweeper, produced by Luke Temple in Los Angeles. His vocals have a cozy just-awoken-from-a-nap vibe that pair well with the music's mildly psychedelic '70s folk-pop feel. -Stereogum
