Reminder: The Recording Academy’s membership application deadline is this Saturday, March 1st. Anyone who wishes to vote in next year’s Grammy Awards must submit their application by this date if they’re not a member already.

How to Apply

  1. Have two fellow music professionals (do not have to be current members) submit letters of recommendation on your behalf. Ensure both recommenders refer to the exact email address you plan to use for your membership so the Academy can link them to you.

  2. After the recommendations are submitted, you will receive an email to complete your application. Both recommendation forms and the application must be submitted by March 1st.

  3. In the spring, the Academy’s Peer Review Panel reviews all submissions and selects the new membership class.

  4. Approved candidates will receive an invitation by early July, and new members have until that year’s GRAMMY Awards voting deadline to accept.
