The Recording Academy has teamed up with online learning platform Coursera to offer classes tailored to music creators and industry professionals. Dubbed Grammy Go, the platform will host courses taught by Academy members and feature Grammy-winning/nominated artists like Jimmy Jam, Janelle Monáe, and Victoria Monét.

Music investment firm Firebird has acquired a stake in JET Management, whose roster includes Justice, Madeon and Suki Waterhouse. Founded by Nathan Hubbard and Nat Zilkha, Firebird is “a multi-sector music company that includes labels and publishing, with an emphasis on management and label services.” For JET co-founder Tyler Goldberg, “this partnership allows us to streamline operations, broaden our reach, and ultimately deliver greater value to our clients.”

SoundExchange has announced a partnership with JKBX, a music investment platform that allows investors to purchase royalty shares of song revenue through SEC-regulated public offerings. The partnership will see SoundExchange process payments for the artists and songwriters who participate in the platform’s creator program. “Artists who sign up for the creator program can create an artist page on the site and earn money for the fan attention and interaction they bring to JKBX’s platform. JKBX says it tracks page views and distributes payments based on an artist’s share of traffic to the site.”
